Peter Sparago

Peter Sparago is currently a Principal Software Engineer at Device42, where they serve as the technical lead, principal developer, and architect on the Device42 Discovery team. Peter is also a member of the Device42 Architecture team. In this role, Peter focuses on discovery collector microservices, device and service discovery, and discovery information ingestion.

Prior to joining Device42, Peter was the sole founder, inventor, architect, designer, and developer of Angelware.org, a social benefit organization. Peter created the iOS application Angelshare, which is designed for special needs individuals who may have difficulty using social networking applications.

Before their work at Angelware.org, Peter worked at Tangoe as a Senior Architect and Development Manager. Peter was responsible for integrating services and orchestrations, and they played a key role in designing a highly available, scalable, fault-tolerant orchestration and management platform using microservice and cloud computing technologies.

Peter also held positions at Computershare as a Senior Architect and Development Manager, where they were involved in creating a lightweight UI framework for building WPF or Silverlight applications. Peter worked at Mirror Worlds as a Principal Architect and Development Manager, helping develop software solutions based on the Lifestreams model.

Earlier in their career, Peter worked at Ingenix as a Principal Developer, where they developed a web-based query and reporting system for employer health insurance data. Peter also worked at Software AG as an Architect, Lead Developer, and Development Manager, where they played an essential role in the architecture, design, and development of the Esperant ad hoc query and reporting tool.

Peter's experience also includes working at Symantec as a Senior Developer and Project Lead, where they developed Symantec's Enterprise Developer and created the Repository Management Explorer. Peter began their career at Corporate Health Strategies, where they served as a Senior Developer and Development Manager, and at Information Strategies, Inc., where they were the Founder and Principal Developer, creating healthcare information and reporting systems.

Peter Sparago attended Southern Connecticut State University from 1975 to 1979 and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics with a minor in Computer Science.
