Sofie Francis has extensive experience in public policy and economic development, currently serving as Programme Lead for Smarter Devon at Devon County Council since June 2009, where responsibilities include redefining data and intelligence functions. Previously, Sofie held the position of Team Manager for Economic Analysis, Funding, and Partnerships at the same council, managing a team while leading funding and partnership activities on notable projects. Prior to joining Devon County Council, Sofie worked as Public Affairs Manager and Policy Advisor at South West Regional Development Agency and as Senior Policy Officer for the Greater London Authority, advising on significant social issues. Sofie also contributed to the Cabinet Office's Social Exclusion Unit and led research projects at the London Research Centre. Sofie holds an MSc in Social Research with Social Policy from The London School of Economics and a BA (Hons) in Political Economy from the University of Greenwich.
