Lauren Best

Lauren Best is a seasoned accounting professional with extensive experience in production accounting within the oil and gas industry. Currently serving as a Sr. Staff Production Accountant at Devon Energy since December 2022, Lauren manages production and sales data reporting for the MidCon region, utilizing systems such as ProdView and SAP. Prior roles include Accountant III at MACH Resources and Senior JIB Accountant at Contango Oil & Gas Company, where Lauren prepared and loaded monthly entries into various accounting systems. Over a long tenure at SandRidge Energy, Lauren progressed through multiple roles, culminating in a Production Accounting Supervisor position that involved leading a department responsible for accurate production reporting and compliance. Lauren began the career with foundational experience as a Production Analyst at Dominion Exploration and Production Inc. and as a College Intern at Louis Dreyfus Natural Gas. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Southern Nazarene University and an Associate Applied Science in Business Administration from Rose State College.
