Jack Maher

Jack Maher is currently an Engineering Excellence Technology Consultant at EPAM Systems, a role they have held since 2021. Prior to this, they were a DevOps Ambassador at DevOpsInstitute from 2020 to 2021. From 2019 to 2020, they were a Co-Author of the book "Standing On Shoulders: A Leader's Guide to Digital Transformation," which was awarded "Best DevOps Book of the Year 2020" by DevOpsDozen.com. From 2018 to 2020, Jack was a Digital Transformation Consultant, DevOps/DevSecOps/SRE Coach, and certified Instructor at Global Lynx USA. From 2013 to 2018, they were the Director of IT Process Management at Nationwide. From 2007 to 2013, they were the President of Jack Maher, LLC., offering consulting, coaching, and certification training in Agile, Lean, and DevOps practices. From 2007 to 2008, they were a Senior Instructor at thoughtLEADERS, LLC, responsible for Project Management Reality curriculum development and delivery. From 2008 to 2018, they were the Founder of Fractel US, producing and marketing information security technology solutions for North America. Finally, from 2006 to 2007, Jack was the Director of Service Support at Scotts Miracle Gro Company, directing the ongoing primary business systems support team.

Jack Maher obtained their Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Xavier University - Williams College of Business with a focus in Economics in 2000. Jack then went on to earn their MS in Information Science from Penn State University in 1999. Jack has obtained numerous certifications since then, including a PMP from the Project Management Institute in 2005, a Lean Six Sigma White Belt from Nationwide Insurance in 2014, a Master Scuba Diver from PADI in 2015, a Certified Agile Leader from the Scrum Alliance in 2018, a DevOps Foundation from the DevOps Institute in 2018, and a Certified Wrong Thinker from Solve Next in 2021. Jack is also an Ambassador for the DevOps Institute and has obtained certifications from them in Continuous Testing Foundation, Continuous Delivery Ecosystem Foundation, DevOps Leader, DevOps Approved Trainer, and DevSecOps Engineer. Additionally, Jack has a Cybersecurity Awareness certification from LinkedIn in 2019.
