Ritika Bhasker has a varied work experience, beginning with an Editorial Assistant role at Demokratizatsiya in 2010, followed by a Communications and Editorial Intern role at World Affairs Journal in the same year. In 2012, they were a Research Intern at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, where they assisted with project and event management for the Wadhwani Chair of US-India Policy Studies, conducted research and wrote regular reports to aid in policymaking, and created visualizations for an annual report on national defense in India. That same year, they joined The International Foundation for Electoral Systems as a Program Associate, providing financial, contractual, and operational assistance to senior IFES program staff, conducting research and writing internal reports and briefs for the Director and Deputy Director, and researching open data use by election management bodies globally. Ritika was promoted to Program Coordinator in the same organization, conducting research and development in Central and Eastern Europe and Asia, and writing several Frequently Asked Questions on elections and electoral issues in the region. Ritika was further promoted to Program Officer, managing multi-million USAID-funded programs and providing research, programmatic, financial and contractual oversight in Kosovo, Macedonia, Albania, Serbia, and Moldova. In 2017, they joined General Assembly as a Data Scientist in Residence, assisting with instruction for General Assembly's Data Science Immersive program in D. C. . Ritika also joined DevResults in 2017, serving as Director of Privacy and Security and Data Scientist.
Ritika Bhasker attended the University College London (UCL) from 2007 to 2010, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Politics and East European Studies. Ritika then attended UCL again from 2010 to 2011, where they earned a Master of Science in International Public Policy. In 2016, they attended General Assembly and earned a Data Science Immersive degree in Data Science.
