Andrés García Calle

Andrés García Calle has a diverse work experience in the field of data engineering and scientific research. Andrés is currently working as a Data Engineer at Devsu, where they optimize SQL queries, writes reports in a BI tool, and develops new reports. Prior to this, they worked as a Freelancer Data Scientist, where they utilized their skills in data analysis and research. Andrés also worked as a Research Assistant at Tecnológico de Monterrey, where they contributed to various research projects. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Network Designer at A&P Instalaciones, where they prepared material cost reports and designed specifications for networks. Additionally, they worked as a Prototype Developer at Red Sismica del Austro - RSA, where they planned and coordinated the development of a battery charge controller and programmed a data reception system.

Andrés García Calle obtained a Bachelor of Electronics and Telecommunications degree from Universidad de Cuenca, where they studied from 2011 to 2017. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey, which they completed between 2018 and 2019.

In addition to their formal education, Andrés has obtained several certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. Andrés received a Lean Six Sigma White Belt Certification from CertiProf in May 2023. Moreover, they have completed various specialized programs and courses through Coursera, including Database systems Specialization (July 2023), Influencing: Storytelling, Change Management and Governance Specialization (September 2022), Specialized Program - Building Cloud Computing Solutions at Scale (May 2022), Big Data: procesamiento y análisis (March 2022), Bayesian Methods for Machine Learning (February 2022), Big Data: adquisición y almacenamiento de datos (February 2022), Data Visualization and Communication with Tableau (December 2021), Introduction to Deep Learning (December 2021), NoSQL systems (August 2021), and Data Science-Specialized Program (June 2021). Additionally, they completed the Databricks Lakehouse Fundamentals program offered by Databricks in November 2022. All certifications were obtained according to the mentioned months and years.
