Associate Vice President; Business Unit Manager at Dewberry

Jason Dolf has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Currently, they are an Associate Vice President and Business Unit Manager at Dewberry since December 2023, where they manage the geospatial aerial acquisition and calibration program. Jason is responsible for budgeting, planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting for specific program phases and tasks. Prior to this role, they were a Senior Associate and Business Unit Manager at Dewberry, also overseeing the geospatial aerial acquisition and calibration program.

Before joining Dewberry, Jason worked as the UAS Program Director at Black Hawk County starting in August 2017. In this role, they were responsible for directing the unmanned aerial systems program.

In the earlier years of their career, Jason served as Fire Chief at Raymond Fire Rescue from January 2011 to the present. Jason was also a Firefighter/EMT at Raymond Fire Rescue from May 2002 to December 2010. Additionally, they worked as Director of Flight Operations at Aerial Services, Inc. from January 2020 to the present, where they managed flight operations. Jason held various roles at Aerial Services, Inc. earlier in their career, including Flight Operations Manager, Remote Sensing Supervisor, and Sensor Operator.

Furthermore, Jason served as a Firefighter/EMT at Cedar Falls Fire Rescue from August 2012 to February 2020 and at Evansdale Fire Rescue from 1999 to 2005.

Jason Dolf, CP, CMS has a diverse education history. In 1993, they obtained a high school diploma from West High and went on to earn an EMT certification from Hawkeye Community College in 2000. Jason also pursued training in various fields including fire science at Kirkwood Community College in 2012, ADS service technician training at Leica Geosystems in 2008, and GrafNav/GrafNet training at NovAtel in 2006 and 2009. In terms of certifications, they have obtained multiple qualifications such as a Certified Mapping Scientist - Unmanned Aircraft Systems (CMS-UAS) from the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing in 2018, a Remote Pilot: sUAS certificate from the Federal Aviation Administration in 2016, and a Private Pilot: Airplane Single Engine Land license from the same institution in 2006. Jason has also acquired certifications in various emergency services areas including Fire Instructor I from the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress in 2013 and Firefighter I from the same organization in 2001. Additionally, they hold certifications in emergency medical services such as Emergency Medical Technician from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians in 2000 and BLS Instructor from the American Heart Association | American Stroke Association in 2011. Jason has also obtained certifications in photogrammetry, including Certified Photogrammetrist from the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing in 2011, as well as certifications in other areas such as Hazardous Materials Operations and Open Water Diver. Jason has continued to expand their knowledge and skills in the field of mapping, obtaining the Pix4Dmapper Fundamentals certification from Pix4D in 2019.
