J.R. Salo

J.R. Salo has had a varied work experience, beginning in 2003 as a Campus Safety Student Supervisor at Pacific Lutheran University, where they supervised over 25 Campus Safety officers and was a first responder for medical, fire, and safety emergencies. From 2007 to 2012, they worked for the US Army as a Human Resource Sergeant, managing a Human Resource section with five personnel and counseling team members on job performance, behavior, expectations, appearance, and personal matters. During this time, they also worked as a Book Shelver Extrodinare at The Bookie, a Mechanical Assembler at SEL, and a Recreation Supervisor at WSU University Recreation, where they coordinated special events, supervised activities with 700 participants, and provided risk management for Sports Club practices. From 2012 to 2015, they were a Line Cook at My Office Bar and Grill, and from 2015 to 2016 they worked as a Human Resources Assistant and Office Assistant at Washington State University. From 2018 to 2022, they were a Payroll and Personnel Coordinator at Washington State University Athletics, and they currently work as an Administrative Manager at Dewey Scientific.

J.R. Salo attended Washington State University from 2012 to 2014, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities. Prior to this, they attended Pacific Lutheran University from 2003 to 2007, where they completed General University Requirements.
