Jay Miller

Jay Miller has extensive experience in education and counseling. Jay worked at Michigan State University as an Online Education Specialist starting in September 2018. Prior to that, they were employed by DeWitt Public Schools as a School and College Counselor, Virtual Learning Coordinator, and Test Director since June 2007. From June 2000 to June 2007, Jay served as the Director of School and College Counseling at Ovid-Elsie High School. In this role, they also coordinated Experiential Education and Career and Technical Education.

Jay Miller earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Education from Ferris State University, where they studied from 1977 to 1982. Jay then went on to pursue a Master of Science degree in Occupational Education from the same institution, completing their studies from 1986 to 1988. Following that, Jay attended Michigan State University, where they obtained a Master of Arts degree in Counseling, studying from 1990 to 1992. Jay also holds a School Counseling Endorsement certification from Michigan State University, which they obtained in December 1993. Additionally, Jay has a certification in Substance Abuse Counseling from Oakland Schools, although the specific details of this certification are not provided.
