Tobias Nel

Tobias (Gerrit) Nel, CISSP, CISM, currently serves as the VP of Cyber Security at Dexcent since July 2019, specializing in OT Cyber Security and Infrastructure services to enhance industrial process security. As the Founder and Senior Managing Security Consultant at TOGERNEL Consulting Services Inc. since March 2014, Tobias provides comprehensive information security consulting across various industries in Canada. Previously, as a Senior Manager at KPMG from September 2014 to May 2019, Tobias led Cyber Security risk assessments and developed strategies for the mining and chemical industries. With over 36 years of experience, including a long tenure at IBM where roles encompassed Senior Managing Security Consultant and Principal Security Consultant, Tobias has expertise in Security Governance, Strategy, and Network Architecture. Education includes a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Johannesburg, completed between 1975 and 1977.
