Shannon R. Woodruff

Shannon R. Woodruff, Ph.D., is a seasoned scientist specializing in polymer synthesis and material development with extensive experience in the fields of electrochemical biosensors and inkjet technologies. Currently serving as a Staff Scientist at Dexcom since October 2022, Shannon leads the development of novel biomaterials and employs advanced problem-solving techniques in experimental design and data analysis. Prior experience includes roles at HP, where Shannon contributed to the development of pigment dispersions and 3D plastic materials, resulting in numerous patents and recognition as a Top Innovator. Earlier positions at Resolution Biomedical, Southern Methodist University, and the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor involved research consultancy and synthesis of functional materials, culminating in a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Southern Methodist University and a Bachelor's in Chemistry and Cell Biology from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.
