Cody Behles began their career as an intern at Indiana University Wells Library, where they worked with the subject librarian for Islamic, Middle East, and Central Eurasian collections. Cody helped form university library policies on area studies collections and titles, and developed a database of Central Eurasian films. Cody also conducted an analysis of Central Asian academic website usability and resource access. After their internship, they became a Graduate Supervisor at Indiana University before moving on to The University of Memphis, where they became the Emerging Technologies Librarian.

At The University of Memphis, Cody Behles oversaw the development and implementation of innovative technologies and services to support the changing needs of the library’s user community. Cody also managed the library’s web presence and developed digital scholarship initiatives. After four years at The University of Memphis, they became the Associate Director, Innovation and Research at FedEx Institute of Technology. In this role, they managed a team of research support staff and oversaw the operation of the institute’s innovation lab. Cody also developed and implemented strategies to increase the institute’s impact on the local community. After four years at FedEx Institute of Technology, they became an Advisor at KoiReader - Digitize Unstructured Data. In this role, they helped the company develop a platform to digitize unstructured data.

Cody Behles has a wealth of experience in research and innovation, and has been working in the field for over 10 years. Cody is currently an advisor at dexFreight, and is helping the company develop a platform to digitize unstructured data.

Cody Behles received a Doctor of Liberal Studies from The University of Memphis in 2020, with a focus on Testing Autonomous Cyber-Physical Systems. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Library Science from Indiana University Bloomington in 2013, with a focus on Scholarly Communication and Information Retrieval Policy. Cody also has a Master's degree from Indiana University Bloomington in Central Eurasian Studies, which they earned in 2012. Finally, they have a degree from Rhodes College in Education, with a focus in International Studies and History, which they earned in 2009.
