Michael Zargham

Michael Zargham is the founder and CEO of BlockScience, a company that applies rigor to the design and analysis of socio-technical network systems. Michael is also the co-founder of BlockScience Labs, a software platform aimed at making applied computational science easier, more reproducible, and more transparent. Zargham has a background in AI and blockchain technology, and has served as an advisor and board member for several companies in these industries. Michael is currently an advisor at dexFreight.

Michael Zargham earned their Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania in Electrical and Systems Engineering. Theircoursework spanned electrical engineering, mathematics, computer science, and Wharton offerings. Theirresearch was funded through Department of Defense sourced interdisciplinary multi-university research initiatives focusing on applying advanced computational and mathematical techniques to systems with human elements. Theirtechnical domains include decentralized optimization and control, network science, and operations research.
