Thimal Perera

Thimal Perera is a seasoned banking executive with extensive experience in leadership roles across multiple financial institutions. Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of DFCC Bank PLC since June 2017, Thimal Perera previously held the position of Deputy Chief Executive Officer within the same organization. Prior to joining DFCC Bank PLC, Thimal Perera worked at Hatton National Bank PLC as Deputy General Manager of Retail & SME from 2014 to 2017, and at Barclays as Product Director for Retail & SME Banking from 2010 to 2014. Additional experience includes significant roles at HSBC, SABB, and Commercial Bank, focusing on cards and digital banking segments. Thimal Perera has pursued professional development through CIMA and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka, currently holding the status of CIMA Finalist in Accounting and Business/Management.
