Alice Hellen Owora

Alice Hellen Owora has a diverse work experience in the banking industry. Alice Hellen is currently working at dfcu Bank as the Head of Ecosystems and Partnerships, where their role involves market research, ecosystem strategy development, and identifying relevant business opportunities. Prior to this, they worked as the Head of Organizational Change at dfcu Bank, where they led the bank's transformation agenda and implemented change management initiatives.

Before joining dfcu Bank, Alice worked at Housing Finance Bank as the Senior Manager Strategy and Business Analysis, where they supported the Managing Director in strategy formulation and monitoring. Alice Hellen also held the position of Senior Risk Manager at Housing Finance Bank, where they managed the overall risk management process for the organization.

Alice obtained a Master of Arts degree in Financial Services from Makerere University, where they studied from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they completed the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) program at Management Accountancy Training (MAT) from 2010 to 2014, specializing in Accounting.

In the earlier years, Alice pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Econometrics and Quantitative Economics from Makerere University. Alice Hellen studied from 2002 to 2005. Before that, they graduated from Makerere College School in 2002 with a Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) in Science. Additionally, they completed their Uganda Certificate of Education from Gayaza High School from 1996 to 1999.

Alongside their formal education, Alice also holds certifications. In 2023, they obtained the Certified SAFe® 6 Agilist certification from Scaled Agile, Inc. In 2021, they earned the edX Verified Certificate for Innovation Leadership from edX.
