Christian Simon Nielsen

Christian Simon Nielsen is an experienced Senior Project Manager and Naval Architect at DFDS, serving since October 2014. Key achievements include managing newbuilding projects for the Ro-Ro Passenger vessels AURA SEAWAYS and LUNA SEAWAYS, delivered in late 2021 and early 2022, as well as overseeing the implementation of fleetwide EEXI initiatives. Prior experience includes project management for Ro-Ro Cargo vessels and involvement in the delivery of multiple vessels from Jinling Shipyard. Christian's early career featured internships at Flensburger Schiffbau-Gesellschaft and Søby Værft AS. Educated at the Technical University of Denmark, holding both a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Engineering degree, Christian also contributed as a board member of IDA Maritim, the maritime branch of The Danish Society Of Engineers.
