Anita Scott has a diverse work experience. Anita started their career as a Process Engineer at RIVM National Institute for Public Health and the Environment, where they conducted research on acellular whooping cough vaccine. Anita then joined Campina, where they served as a Process Technologist, managing research and improvement projects related to various products. Anita later became the Manager of the packaging department, overseeing daily operations and a team of 70 employees. In 2008, Anita became the Managing Director of DFE Pharma (NZ) Ltd., overseeing the manufacturing and export of inhalation and tablet grade lactose. Alongside their professional career, Anita has also been actively involved in various organizations, such as BPW International, serving as the President and Vice President of BPW Hawera and as the Young BPW Convener for BPW NZ. Anita has also served as a Trustee for the Hawera Memorial Theatre Friends Trust and as the Deputy Chair of the Board of Trustees for Hawera High School. Additionally, Anita has been a Board Member for Tawhiti School. Overall, Anita Scott has demonstrated their expertise and leadership skills in multiple industries and has actively contributed to their community through their involvement in various organizations and schools.
Anita Scott completed their MSc in Bioprocess engineering from Wageningen University & Research, from 1995 to 2000. In 2020, they also became a Chartered Member at the Institute of Directors in New Zealand.
