Bastiaan HJ Dickhoff has a diverse work experience in the fields of innovation, product application, and technical solutions. Bastiaan HJ started their career as a Process Engineer at GlaxoSmithKline in 2005 and later became a Principal Scientist. In 2008, they transitioned to the role of R&D Process Engineer and Investigator before joining RSSL/Mondelez International as an Associate Principle Scientist. At RSSL/Mondelez International, they provided expert technical guidance and management in the area of physical characterisation of food and pharmaceutical ingredients/formulations. In 2014, Bastiaan joined DFE Pharma as a Senior Product Application Specialist, where they acted as the technical and scientific connection between DFE Pharma Technical Managers and customers. Bastiaan HJ also served as the Development Manager and Senior Product Application Specialist, responsible for setting the scope of DFE Pharma's application and product understanding strategy. In 2021, Bastiaan became the Director of Innovation and Product Application at DFE Pharma, leading the Innovation and Product Application teams. Bastiaan HJ is currently the Director of Innovation and Technical Solutions, driving the science on DFE Pharma's current and future excipients. Throughout their career, Bastiaan has presented at technical seminars, written technical publications, and conducted scientific product application studies. Prior to their industry experience, they completed a PhD at the University of Groningen.

Bastiaan HJ Dickhoff holds a PhD in Pharmaceutics and BioPharmaceutics, which they obtained from the University of Groningen between 2000 and 2005. Prior to that, they earned an MSc in Chemical Engineering from Swansea University in 1999. Bastiaan HJ also holds a BSc in Petroleum and Gas Technology from Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, which they completed between 1993 and 1998. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Sales & Account Management from Millar Heiman in 2017 and in GUIDE from Groningen University Institute for Drug Exploration (GUIDE) in 2006.
