Dr. Thomas Dreier

Dr. Thomas Dreier is an accomplished leader in the field of energy, ecology, and economy, currently serving as Co-Founder and CEO of DFGE – Institute for Energy, Ecology and Economy since December 2019. Previously, Dr. Dreier held significant roles at LEDVANCE from October 2016 to March 2019 as Vice President Research & Development and CTO, overseeing global R&D efforts. A long-standing tenure at OSRAM spanned from April 2001 to September 2016, where Dr. Dreier was instrumental as Vice President and Region Head for LED Lamps EMEA and Light Engine & Controls, contributing to extensive product development in LED technology. Additionally, Dr. Dreier has academic experience as an Assistant Professor at TU München, focusing on alternative energy solutions, complemented by a solid educational foundation in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Munich and The City College of New York.
