Achim Wagner

Achim Wagner has a diverse work experience in the field of robotics and artificial intelligence. Achim is currently the Head of Research at the Deutsches Forschungszentrum für Künstliche Intelligenz (DFKI) since March 2018. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Teaching Associate at Mannheim Business School starting from November 2015.

From 2010 to February 2018, Achim Wagner was a Research Group Leader for "Dependable Robotics" at Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg. Before that, they held the role of Researcher and Systems Developer, Group Leader at the same institution from January 2008 to August 2010.

Additionally, Achim Wagner served as the Leader of Robotics Group at Universität Mannheim from August 2004 to December 2007. Achim also worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Universität Mannheim und Klinikum Mannheim GmbH from August 2002 to July 2004.

Achim'scareer started as a Research Scientist at Universität des Saarlandes from November 1996 to February 2002.

Achim Wagner completed their education history with a Diplom-Ingenieurin (Dipl. Ing.) degree in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology from Universität des Saarlandes in 1996. Prior to that, they earned a Doctor of Engineering degree in Electrical Materials Science from the same institution between 1996 and 2002. Additionally, Achim Wagner obtained a Habilitation degree in Informatik, with a focus on Dependable Systems, from the University of Mannheim in 2013.
