Jonas Wahl

Jonas Wahl is an accomplished researcher specializing in causal modeling and inference, currently serving as a Senior Researcher and Research Group Leader for Causal Models and Representations at the Deutsches Forschungszentrum für Künstliche Intelligenz (DFKI) since January 2025. Prior to this role, Jonas held a position as a Postdoctoral Researcher in Causal Inference in Complex Systems at Technische Universität Berlin from February 2022 to December 2024, and at the Hausdorff Center for Mathematics from March 2019 to February 2022. Jonas completed doctoral studies at KU Leuven from September 2014 to August 2018 and worked as a Statistical Researcher at Vias Institute in late 2018. Earlier academic experience includes serving as a Teaching Assistant at Universität des Saarlandes from October 2011 to July 2014. Jonas holds a Master of Science in Mathematics from both Universität des Saarlandes and Københavns Universitet, and a PhD in Mathematics from KU Leuven.
