Alperen Karataş

Alperen Karataş has held a variety of roles in the data science field. In 2022, they began working as a Data Scientist for Kavaken. From 2018 to present, they have been a Data Scientist at Tarentum AI, where they work on numerical weather prediction models over cloud computing systems (AWS, IBM etc.). In 2016, they were an Intern at Meteoroloji 1. Bölge Müdürlüğü and a Board Member at İTÜ Kontrol ve Otomasyon Kulübü and İTÜ METAR - Meteorolojik Araştırmalar Kulübü. In 2017, they were a Board Member at İTÜ Kontrol ve Otomasyon Kulübü and an ITURO 2017 Board Member at ITU Control and Automation Student Club.

Alperen Karataş began their educational journey in 2011 at ECA Elginkan Anatolian High School, where they obtained their Lise degree in 2015. Alperen then attended Istanbul Technical University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Meteorological Engineering in 2019, followed by a Master of Science in Atmospheric Sciences in 2022. In addition, they have obtained certifications in C# and Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF).
