Herman Schueller

Herman Schueller serves as the Director of Innovation and Technology Risk Supervision at the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) since September 2024, leading the team responsible for Fintech Supervision and risk assessments, while managing the Regulatory Sandbox for Fintech startups. Prior to this role, Schueller was the Head of Digital Transformation at the Central Bank of the UAE from March 2022 to July 2024, where responsibilities included implementing digital payment strategies and overseeing infrastructure transformation. Schueller also held various positions at Standard Chartered Bank from 2014 to 2022, notably leading a $15 million Digital Transformation and Innovation program in Hong Kong. Earlier career experiences include project management at UBS and a program management role at Document Sciences. Schueller holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Toronto and a recent certificate in Digital Transformation from Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
