Matthew Barrett

Matthew Barrett currently serves as a Junior Associate at Dentons Global Advisors, a position started in September 2023. Prior experience includes serving as a Junior Desk Officer for Ukraine at Global Affairs Canada from January 2022 to August 2022 and contributing as an Editor on the Editorial Board of the Canadian Centre for the Responsibility to Protect from September 2021 to March 2022. Additional roles involve writing and editing for the Canadian Global Affairs Institute in November 2021, interning as a Research & Policy Intern at the Canadian Centre for the Responsibility to Protect from April 2021 to September 2021, and working as a Compliance Analyst with the G20 Research Group from March 2021 to August 2021. Matthew Barrett is pursuing a Master's degree in Diplomacy & Global Governance at the Brussels School of Governance, expected to be completed in January 2024, and holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Affairs from the University of Toronto, awarded in June 2021.
