Marco Zimmermann

Marco Zimmermann has a diverse work experience spanning several companies. At DGS Druckguss Systeme AG, they currently serve as the Head of Global Purchasing, leading a team of 16 colleagues spread across different countries. Marco manages an annual budget of 256 Mio Euro and focuses on driving digitalization and utilizing artificial intelligence to improve manufacturing processes. Additionally, they are temporarily responsible for all procurement activities at the St. Gallen unit as the Head of Purchasing St. Gallen a.i. Before joining DGS, Marco worked as a Global Purchasing Manager and Global Technical Purchaser at the same company, where they were responsible for strategic procurement of raw materials, managing major projects, and optimizing energy procurement strategies. Prior to DGS, Marco served as the Technical Lead Buyer Aluminium Extrusion at Constellium, where they were responsible for planning and procurement of aluminum extrusions in the automotive sector. At Renfert GmbH, they were the Leader ERP and Process Management, overseeing the effectiveness of the ERP system and leading project teams. Marco also briefly served as a Lean Manager. Lastly, at Stadtwerke Konstanz GmbH, Marco worked as a Technical Purchaser and later as a Traffic and Product Manager. Marco oversaw procurement processes, supervised European tenders, and managed projects related to maintenance and control software coordination. Marco's expertise in procurement and project management has contributed to the success of the companies they have worked for.

Marco Zimmermann's education history includes obtaining a degree in Business Administration from IHK Hochrhein Bodensee (Chamber of Industry and Commerce) from 2015 to 2018. Prior to that, they pursued a degree in Industrial Clerk at Wessenbergschule Konstanz from 2010 to 2012.
