Latoya Garrett is an experienced professional with a strong background in coordinating resident services and community-focused programs. Currently serving as a Resident Services Coordinator at DHA since May 2022, Latoya is responsible for managing recreational, educational, wellness, and independent activities for senior residents. Previously, Latoya worked as a Midlife Mentor and Event Producer at Flow After 40, focusing on empowering Gen X women through reflective writing and self-discovery events. From June 2016 to January 2019, Latoya was a Live Event Strategist at Event Bosses, where the emphasis was on teaching female entrepreneurs how to effectively host and market live events. Earlier in Latoya's career, as a Resident Services Coordinator at Portfolio Resident Services, responsibilities included providing social services, overseeing community activities, and fostering partnerships. Latoya holds a degree in Business Management from Collin College, completed between 2015 and 2016.

DHA, Housing Solutions for North Texas provides quality, affordable housing and supportive services to low-income families and individuals through the effective and efficient administration of housing assistance programs across seven North Texas counties: Collin, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Kaufman, Rockwall, and Tarrant. The agency aims to create opportunities for participants to achieve self-sufficiency and economic independence. DHA provides housing opportunities to 55,700 people through its housing programs. DHA is the 8th largest Housing Choice Voucher program in the nation and the 10th largest public housing agency in the nation.
