Chitra N. Javdekar

Chitra N. Javdekar serves as an Executive Board Member for the Dharma Civilization Foundation since January 2021 and took on the role of Interim Vice President of Academic Affairs and Workforce Development at Urban College of Boston from September 2023 to January 2025. Prior to this, Chitra held a position as Dean of the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) department and served as a Professor and Associate Professor at MassBay Community College from August 2006 to September 2023. Previous experience includes working as a Research Assistant at Tufts University, focusing on structural health monitoring of highway bridges, and holding engineering roles at Shrikhande Consultants Pvt. Ltd and Composites Combine Technical Consultants. Chitra earned a Ph.D. in Civil-Structural Engineering from Tufts University and holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Mumbai.
