Bjørn Sandvik is a GIS lead for DHIS2 Climate & Health and the Norwegian Trekking Association (DNT) with an MSc with distinction in Geographical Information Science. With a strong background in map development, Bjørn was a map developer at the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation from 2010 to 2015 and served as the lead developer for DHIS2 Maps from 2015 to 2023. Currently, Bjørn leads the development of map functionality for UT.no, a site focused on hiking in Norway, and is the founder of NORVIZ AS, where they create platforms for projecting animated maps. Additionally, Bjørn operates as an independent business owner, providing freelance consultancy in web mapping and GIS.
