Katelijn Van Hende

Katelijn Van Hende is currently a Legal Counsel for SAF aviation at DHL, specializing in the sustainable aviation fuel sector. With 15 years of experience in the energy field, they previously served as a Senior Hydrogen Funding Manager at RWE, advising on regulatory compliance and project financing. Katelijn has also held roles at BayWa r.e. Global, IUCN, and National Grid, where they focused on business development and regulatory strategy. They earned a PhD in Energy, Environment, and Natural Resources Law from Aarhus University and have contributed significantly to international energy law through academic and fieldwork.
