Colette Marshall

Chief Executive at Diabetes UK

Colette Marshall has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Starting in 1989, they worked at ICI in various positions, including R&D, Sales Manager, Purchasing, and Business Process Consultant. From 1998 to 2000, they served as the Innovations Manager at ICI Acrylics, followed by their role as the EAME Business Manager at Lucite International from 2000 to 2003. Colette then transitioned to the non-profit sector, taking on volunteer and consultant roles in 2004. From 2005 to 2010, they were the Director of UK Programmes at Save the Children UK, where they spearheaded initiatives focused on child poverty, refugee and asylum seeker rights, and education. Following a career break, Colette joined Merlin UK as the Interim Head of the Chief Executive's Office from March 2011 to October 2011. Colette then became the COO at MEND UK from October 2011 to December 2012. In 2013, Colette assumed the role of Director of Operations at Diabetes UK and continues to hold that position. Additionally, in 2022, they became a Member of the Board of Trustees at The Bat Conservation Trust.

Colette Marshall completed an Executive MBA program at London Business School from 2002 to 2004. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honors in Chemistry from the University of Oxford, where they studied from 1985 to 1989. Additionally, in 2021, Colette obtained a certification as a Coach Practitioner from TPC Leadership in the UK.
