Jessica Sutcliffe

Jessica Sutcliffe is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the health and research sectors. Currently serving as the SMF Beta Cell Programme Lead at Diabetes UK since October 2022, Jessica has previously held the position of Science and Advocacy Lead at Cancer Grand Challenges and was a Senior Research Funding Manager and Innovation Research Funding Manager at Cancer Research UK from August 2016 to September 2022. Notably, Jessica developed and delivered the Pioneer Award, facilitating support for innovative research ideas. Earlier in the career, Jessica was the Marketing and Communications Director for Oxbridge Biotech Roundtable/OneStart, overseeing the global healthcare accelerator program. Jessica holds a PhD in Cell and Developmental Biology from UCL and a BSc in Biology from the University of Bristol.
