Jamylle Carter is a seasoned educator and musician with extensive experience in mathematics education and community engagement. Currently serving as a Professor of Mathematics at Diablo Valley College since August 2009, Jamylle has also held lecturing positions at San Francisco State University and participated in various postdoctoral fellowships focusing on mathematical research and image analysis. Notably, Jamylle developed the Oakland Math Circle, an enrichment program aimed at African-American middle-school students, funded by a grant from the Mathematical Association of America.
