Mickey Pentecost has a diverse education history spanning various fields. Starting in 1994, they attended Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music and Art & Performing Arts, where they obtained their high school diploma with a focus on fine arts. In 1999, they went on to study at The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art, earning a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Interdisciplinary Engineering in 2003.

Building on their engineering background, Mickey pursued higher education at Stanford University School of Medicine from 2003 to 2009. During this time, they completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Microbiology and Immunology.

In 2001, Mickey participated in the Summer Undergraduate Research Program (SURP) at The Sackler Institute at NYU School of Medicine, offered through New York Medicine Jobs. Additionally, in 2002, they took an immunology course for transfer credit at New York University.

To enhance their skill set, Mickey engaged in further education and training. In 2016, they attended General Assembly, where they pursued studies in data science. In 2019, they undertook the LA BioStart Bioscience Entrepreneurs Boot Camp at California State University, Los Angeles. They also completed the world's leading science accelerator program at IndieBio during the same year.

Mickey's quest for knowledge and growth extended beyond traditional educational institutions. They pursued self-directed learning, online courses, workshops, and obtained diverse skills in entrepreneurship, finance & investing, digital production, programming, and biotechnology.

In terms of certifications, Mickey received on-site BSL3 Science and Safety Training from notable institutions such as the Department of Defense (DoD), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
