Flaura Winston

Flaura Winston is a prominent figure in pediatric injury research and prevention, with extensive experience spanning over three decades. As the Founder and Former Scientific Director of the Center for Injury Research and Prevention at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Winston played a pivotal role in developing a robust research program. Currently, Winston serves as the National Medical and Science Advisor for Toyota North America's Way Forward Fund, focusing on children recovering from traumatic brain injuries, and holds the position of Chief Scientific Advisor and Co-Founder at Diagnostic Driving, Inc. Additionally, Winston is the Director of the Innovation Ecosystem at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Director of the Center for Child Injury Prevention Studies, facilitating collaborative research efforts. With a strong academic background, including a PhD in Bioengineering and an MD from the University of Pennsylvania, Winston combines clinical expertise with significant teaching and advisory contributions in the field of pediatric health.
