Andrew Singer is the current Director at Diagnostic Photonics. Prior to this, they were the CEO of Intersymbol Communications, Inc from September 2000 to March 2006, when the company was bought by Kodeos Communications. Andrew then became a Senior Scientist at Finisar Corporation in 2007, exploring new directions for optical communications. From 2009 to 2011, they served as the Associate Dean for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Andrew is currently the Fox Family Professor of Engineering and Director of the Technology Entrepreneur Center at the university. Prior to their academic career, they worked as a Research Scientist at Sanders, a Lockheed Martin Company, from June 1996 to August 1998.
Andrew Singer has a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, an SM in Electrical engineering and computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and an SB in Electrical engineering and computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Andrew also went to hoffman estates high school.
