Shari Vandergast Jd, Lcsw

Shari VanderGast, JD, LCSW has a diverse work experience spanning over several organizations. Shari began their career at Abington Memorial Hospital in 1995 and served as an Administrative Director for 10 years. Following that, they joined Intervention Associates as the Senior Vice President/Executive Director from September 2005 to June 2007. Shari then worked at Pocono Medical Center as the Director of Risk and Case Management from July 2007 to August 2010. In August 2010, they joined Access Services as the Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, a position they held until June 2013. Afterward, they served as the President and Chief Executive Officer at Central Montgomery MH from June 2013 to January 2015. In January 2015, they joined Diakon Lutheran Social Ministries as the Senior Vice President of Administration/Child & Family Services. From September 2018 to January 2021, they held the position of Senior Vice President of Operations, followed by their current role as the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, which they started in January 2021.

Shari VanderGast, JD, LCSW holds a Master's Degree in Social Work from Columbia University. Shari also obtained a Bachelor's of Science degree in Labor and Industrial Relations from Cornell University. VanderGast further pursued their education at the Temple University - James E. Beasley School of Law, where they obtained a Juris Doctorate degree specializing in Law.
