Michael Frischmuth

Michael Frischmuth has extensive work experience in the humanitarian and international development sector. Michael started their career as a Junior Consultant at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit in 1995. In 1998, they worked as a Junior Consultant at the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. From 1999 to 2004, they served as a Consultant & Program Coordinator at Humanitarian Missions Abroad. In 2005, they joined Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe, first as a Project Officer until 2010, and then as the Head Asia & Europe Desk. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Program at Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe.

Michael Frischmuth completed their education at several institutions. From 1990 to 1995, they attended Justus Liebig University Giessen, where they pursued a degree in Nutrition Sciences and obtained a Dipl. oec. troph. During their time at Ruhr University Bochum in 1997, they completed part one of the Master of Humanitarian Assistance program, known as NOHA. The following year, in 1998, they attended Aix-Marseille University to finish part two of the NOHA program, obtaining a Master of Humanitarian Assistance.
