David Genecov

Dr. Genecov is a successful health care entrepreneur and trained as a craniofacial surgeon. He most recently co-founded and served on the Board of AveXis with Mr. Harkey, which was acquired by Novartis for $8.7bn in 201B. AveXis created the first successful therapy for spinal muscular atrophy, now FDA- approved. Along with Mr. Harkey, he co-founded and serves on the board of Cessation Therapeutics and served on the board of CerSci Therapeutics until recent acquisition by Acadia Pharmaceuticals. Dr. Genecov received a M.D. from the Long School of Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
