Virgil Pate

Virgil Pate is an experienced leader in product design and engineering with a strong background in technology strategy and innovation. Currently serving as GTM Leader at IBM since February 2025, Virgil has also held positions including Principal, Client Engagement at Dialexa since August 2019, and Consultant at ParkHub from 2017 to 2019, where frameworks for innovation were established. Previously at Microsoft, Virgil defined digital transformation strategies for Fortune 500 companies and led architecture workshops. As Director of Enterprise Data & Architecture at CBRE, significant contributions included portfolio rationalization and the execution of a $300M project review process. An extensive career in technology roles began in 1996, involving various responsibilities from owner/operator of a web development company to an architect at Verizon.
