Chris Burrows

Chris Burrows is a Senior Vacuum Systems Engineer at Diamond Light Source, a position held since October 2017, after serving as a Vacuum Instrumentation Engineer. Prior to this, Chris was a Post-doctoral Research Fellow at the University of Warwick from March 2013 to October 2017, focusing on the growth and characterization of novel half-metallic thin films, as well as the development of materials for photovoltaic devices. Chris's early experience includes a role as a Student Analyst at Halcrow, where responsibilities included various administrative functions to support business development. Chris holds a Ph.D. in Physics and an MPhys in Physics, both from the University of Warwick, and received foundational education at The Ridgeway School in Swindon.
