Georg Held

Georg Held is a Principal Beamline Scientist at Diamond Light Source, leading the "VerSoX" beamline project focused on near-ambient pressure and high-throughput soft X-ray spectroscopy, supporting significant research in catalysis since its operation began in 2017. Concurrently, Georg Held serves as a Visiting Professor and Professor of Surface Chemistry at the University of Reading, where research interests include heterogeneous catalysis and surface properties analyzed through various spectroscopy techniques. Prior to these roles, Georg Held was a Lecturer at the University of Cambridge. Georg Held earned a PhD in Physics and a Dipl. Phys. in Physics from the Technical University of Munich.
