Senior Manufacturing Engineer at Diamond Mowers

Kyle Storm has worked in the manufacturing engineering industry since 2005. Kyle began their career as an Industrial Engineering Intern at Hormel Foods, where they performed time studies and developed standard work for many tasks, created a layout in AutoCAD for the entire plant, and was in charge of creating a new assembly line, developing the process, and training the operators. In 2006, they moved to Parker Hannifin, where they designed assembly and test equipment with safety, productivity, and lean principles in mind, and automated many of the operations that were previously manual. In 2013, they joined Spartan ERV as a Manufacturing Engineer, where they worked on process improvement projects, scrap reduction projects, safety and ergonomic issues, and designed a few components used to build firetrucks. Kyle was also proficient in SolidWorks and created Excel documents with macros to improve office processes. In 2014, they joined Diamond Mowers, where they held the roles of Senior Manufacturing Engineer, Manufacturing Engineering Manager, and Manufacturing Engineer.

Kyle Storm attended St. Cloud State University from 2012 to 2013, where they obtained a Master's degree in Engineering/Industrial Management. Kyle then attended South Dakota Mines from 2001 to 2005, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Industrial Engineering.
