Yigit Uygar Mahsereci

Yigit Uygar Mahsereci has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Yigit Uygar is currently a Community Member at 2hearts, a position they started in December 2021. Prior to that, they worked at DiaMonTech AG as the Head of Electronics, starting in February 2021.

Before their current roles, Yigit was self-employed as a Professional Freelancer in 2020. Yigit Uygar developed embedded systems for mobility projects focused on functional safety and provided consultation for challenging R&D projects in hardware and embedded domains.

Yigit also worked as a Firmware Engineer at the Access to Energy Institute from July 2020 to February 2021. During this time, they contributed their expertise in firmware development.

In 2019, Yigit attended an entrepreneurship boot camp called Entrepreneur First, where they learned various aspects of starting a business and turning technical ideas into feasible products.

From 2012 to 2019, Yigit worked as a Researcher at IMS CHIPS, where they undertook various ASIC-based research projects for large-scale industry partners. Yigit Uygar played a key role in developing innovative technologies, such as a "smart-skin" for a robotic Fin Ray gripper and a low-power, ultra-thin ASIC for an industrial safety application.

Prior to IMS CHIPS, Yigit worked as a Digital IC Designer at Mikro-Tasarim from 2009 to 2012. Yigit Uygar led the digital design team for CMOS image sensor projects and was responsible for designing custom, power and noise-aware digital controllers.

Yigit also gained experience as a Part-Time Electronics Engineer at Aselsan in 2009 and as an Intern Electronics Engineer at TUBITAK in 2008.

Their earliest work experience was as an Intern Electronic Engineer at the University of Windsor in 2007.

Throughout their career, Yigit has demonstrated expertise in electronics engineering, firmware development, embedded systems, and entrepreneurship.

Yigit Uygar Mahsereci's education history began in 2004 when they enrolled at Middle East Technical University. Yigit Uygar completed a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering in 2009. Following this, they pursued further studies at the same university and obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Integrated Circuit Design from 2009 to 2012. Continuing their educational journey, Yigit Uygar Mahsereci then attended the University of Stuttgart from 2012 to 2018, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Electrical Engineering.
