Ya'ir Aizenman has a vast and varied work experience. Ya'ir began their career in 2005 as a Vice President at D. E. Shaw & Co., where they managed quantitative hedging for a global portfolio of illiquid equity and debt positions. Ya'ir also built an engine to track and triage errors among the firm's ~10,000 daily automated tasks. In 2010, they joined the Clinton Health Access Initiative as part of a three-person team brokering a donor-provided volume guarantee for the DTP-Hepatitis B-Hib (also called pentavalent) vaccine, which ultimately reduced the price by ~45%. Ya'ir also redesigned and rebuilt CHAI's model for forecasting country-by-country demand for HIV drugs, which is still in use today. In 2011, Ya'ir became a Project Leader at Dalberg Global Development Advisors, where they were the recipient of Dalberg's 2012 Impact award. Ya'ir led a team writing Smart Maps for Smart Cities, a report analyzing the opportunity for streamlined street mapping regulations to unlock $8B in India as part of Prime Minister Modi's Smart Cities initiative. Ya'ir also coordinated a team of Dalberg and outside experts in developing a framework to help Gates to structure its workstreams when launching new global health products. In 2015, Ya'ir joined the U.S. Department of State as a Franklin Fellow in the Office of the Special Advisor on International Development. That same year, they began working at Viatris as the Director of the HIV/ Infectious Disease Center of Excellence, where they were responsible for coordinating the global infectious strategy for the world's largest maker of generic HIV drugs. Ya'ir was also responsible for identifying key trends and new products for the company's pipeline, licensing of new assets, and relationships with international stakeholders. Finally, in 2022, Ya'ir began working as the VP of Strategy and Financial Performance & Analysis at Diana Health (We're Hiring!).

Ya'ir Aizenman attended Harvard University from 2001 to 2005, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science.
