Margarita Veniou joined Diana Shipping Services S.A. in September 2004 where she has held various positions. She serves as our Chief Corporate Development, Governance & Communications Officer since July 2022. From September 2004 to June 2022, she has worked in the Corporate Planning & Governance Department of Diana Shipping Inc. holding various positions as Associate, Officer and Manager. Margarita Veniou is also the General Manager of Steamship Shipbroking Enterprises Inc. since April 2014. Margarita Veniou held the position of Corporate Planning & Governance Officer from January 2010 to February 2020 in Performance Shipping Inc. Margarita Veniou is Co-founder and Managing Partner of Blue Sand Boutique Hotel & Suites since 2006. She is also a member of WISTA Hellas. Margarita Veniou holds a bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies and a master’s degree in Maritime Economics & Policy from the University of Piraeus. She completed the Sustainability Leadership and Corporate Responsibility course in the London Business School. She has obtained certification in Shipping Derivatives from the Athens University of Economics and Business and she is an ISO 14001 certified by Lloyd’s Register.
