Rita Maria Maffei

Rita Maria Maffei has extensive work experience in quality assurance, regulatory affairs, and clinical affairs in the pharmaceutical industry. Rita Maria started their career at Serono in 1992, where they held various roles including Quality Control Microbiological Supervisor, Quality Assurance GMP Compliance Responsible, and Quality Assurance & Regulatory Compliance Manager. Rita Maria then worked at Merck Serono from 2006 to 2013, serving as Manufacturing Operation Director & Qualified Person and later as Quality Unit Director(QA/QC) & Qualified Person. From 2013 to 2014, they worked at Novartis Vaccines and Diagnostics as the Head of Compliance Italy. Currently, they are at DiaSorin, where they hold the position of Corporate Vice President Quality Assurance, Regulatory and Clinical Affairs, and is responsible for defining the overall direction of the group in respect to quality, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards, and providing leadership in quality assurance and regulatory affairs.
