Sana Javeri Kadri's work experience includes serving as the CEO & Founder of Diaspora Co., a company that specializes in sourcing single-origin spices from small, organic, family farms across South Asia. Since its launch in 2017, the company has experienced significant growth, working with over 150 farm partners in India.
Prior to founding Diaspora Co., Sana worked in marketing and communications for the Bi-Rite Family of Businesses, which includes Bi-Rite Market, Bi-Rite Creamery, and Bi-Rite Catering & Events. Sana Javeri also served as a Digital Humanities Fellow at Claremont University Consortium in 2016.
In 2015, Sana founded and served as the President of the Claremont Food Justice Summit, an annual food sustainability, access, politics, and culture festival. Additionally, they worked as a filmmaker-in-residence at La Sosta di Ottone III in 2015.
Before these roles, Sana gained experience as a food justice intern at Crossroads, Inc. in 2014 and as a farm employee at Pomona College Organic Farm from 2013 to 2015. Sana Javeri also served as an apprentice at Eagle Street Rooftop Farm in 2014 and as an intern at seedfund in 2014.
Sana's earliest work experience includes managing The Balcony: Art Gallery from 2013 to 2013.
Sana Javeri Kadri pursued their education in a chronological manner. From 2010 to 2012, they attended UWC Adriatic - Collegio del Mondo Unito dell'Adriatico O.N.L.U.S., where they completed their International Baccalaureate Diploma. Following this, they enrolled at Pomona College from 2012 to 2016. At Pomona College, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree with a focus on Visual and Performing Arts.
