Paula Opal

Paula Opal has a long and diverse work experience in the field of regulatory affairs. Paula currently holds the position of Vice President Regulatory at DICE Therapeutics, starting in May 2022. Prior to that, they served as Vice President Regulatory Affairs at Connect Biopharma from June 2021 to April 2022.

Before joining Connect Biopharma, Paula held multiple roles at Rezolute, Inc., including Vice President, Regulatory and Quality from November 2019 to June 2021, and Executive Director, Head of Regulatory from June 2019 to November 2019.

From 2011 to 2019, Paula worked at Genentech, where they held the positions of Sr. Regulatory Program Director from March 2014 to May 2019, and Regulatory Program Director from June 2011 to March 2014.

Paula'searlier experiences include working as a Sr. Manager, Regulatory Affairs at MAP Pharmaceuticals from 2010 to 2011, owning Opal Consulting from 2007 to 2010, and being a Manager, Regulatory Sciences at Replidyne from 2004 to 2007.

Additionally, Paula worked at OSI Pharmaceuticals as a Senior Associate, Regulatory Affairs from 2001 to 2004, and at Gilead Sciences as a Regulatory Affairs Associate from 1999 to 2001. Paula started their career as a Regulatory Affairs Coordinator at NeXstar Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from 1998 to 1999.

Throughout their career, Paula has gained extensive experience in regulatory submissions, managing regulatory programs, and providing expertise in the field.

Paula Opal completed their Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Colorado Boulder between 1985 and 1989. The field of study for their BA is not specified. In addition to their BA, Paula obtained a Regulatory Affairs Certification (RAC) in Device and Pharmaceuticals. Paula obtained this certification in November 2005 from the Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society (RAPS).
