Douglas M Rammel has had diverse work experience over the years. Douglas M started as the President/CIO of Synapse Operational Systems and Solutions in 1999, followed by founding their consulting and investment services firm, Abstract Reality Ventures, in 2008. Since then, they have invested and held leadership positions in multiple companies, including NMC M&S, Social Net Watcher, Blue Agave Importers dba Suavecito Tequila, and All In Team Sports. Douglas M is also the founder and COO of ConneCXiOn, which they started in 2020, and has served as the Acting Executive Director of Indianapolis Public Schools Education Foundation in 2017.

Douglas M Rammel holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Health Informatics and Population Health, The Business of Life Sciences, and Entrepreneurship from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. Prior to that, they obtained an MBA/MPH degree in Business and Healthcare Management from the University of Michigan in 1993. Douglas M also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Philosophy with minor subjects in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics from The University of Toledo, which they completed in 1990. Douglas M Rammel's education journey began at Milton-Union High School, where they finished their secondary education from 1982 to 1986.
