Mengze Xu

Mengze Xu is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in motion planning and robotics. Currently serving as a Tech Lead Manager and Software Engineer Technical Lead at DiDi since April 2022, Mengze Xu focuses on motion planning reasoning. Prior to this role, Mengze Xu worked at Waymo from November 2019 to April 2022 as a Software Engineer II, specializing in high-level interactive decision making and behavior planning. Earlier experience includes a position at Brain Corp from July 2018 to October 2019, where Mengze Xu maintained and improved the navigation stack for the Whiz product, developed motion planning algorithms, and established testing benchmarks. Educationally, Mengze Xu holds a Master's degree in Robotics from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics from Tsinghua University.
